Target: This project includes Sinan Kılıç Banana Production Facility on an area of 50,000 m² in Adana. It is aimed to increase banana production by using modern agricultural techniques and to encourage sustainable agricultural practices, especially in accordance with the hot climate conditions of Adana.
Vision: Adana is one of the hot climate regions of Turkey and this project aims at high quality banana production and sustainable agricultural practices by using the climate advantage of the region. The project aims to contribute to the local economy by using modern technology in banana cultivation.
Adana Climate and Characteristics of Banana:
  • 1. Climate: Adana is characterized by a climate close to the Mediterranean climate. Summers are hot and dry and winters are mild. This provides a suitable environment for banana cultivation.
  • 2. Characteristics of Banana: Banana plant prefers hot and humid climates. The ideal growing temperature is between 27-30 °C. Additionally, the banana plant requires high humidity.
Climate Creation of the Greenhouse:
  • 1. Shading Systems: Solar shading systems are used in the greenhouse to provide shade for banana plants when necessary.
  • 2. Greenhouse Heating and Cooling: Heating and cooling systems are integrated to control the internal temperature of the greenhouse.
  • 3. Humidity Control: Humidity control systems are used in the greenhouse to ensure high humidity.
  • 4. Greenhouse Climate Control: Automatic climate control systems are used to automatically adjust temperature, humidity and other factors.
